It has been pretty cold outside and I haven't felt good the last two days so we have been finding projects to do inside. I worked in the two year old room this past Sunday and the look of the crayons were tiny broken pieces. So we turned the crayons into a craft. Ally and I spend yesterday peeling the crayons(Tip for those that would like to do this project-soak the crayons in water and the wrappers should come right off). Then we put the crayons in old muffin tins and put them in the oven at 300 degrees for 15 minutes. Let them cool on the counter and then put them in the fridge for a few minutes and they will pop right out of the tins. We had fun looking at all the colors melted together and they are a lot of fun to color with. Now I have to tell Ally that we have to give them to Ms. Charlotte's class at church.

This brings back memories!!! I remember doing this with my daughter when she was little. We had so much fun, we made them again and used them as a give away for her 5th birthday party. Thanks for sharing! My little one is now 16 and learning to drive and turning my hair slowly gray. Enjoy your day!
What an awesome way to get rid of all those crayon pieces. I'll try to remember this! Thanks for sharing!
