First week of first grade-Complete

We actually started our first day last Saturday. We had a wonderful week of school. The kids get up and after a little bit of down time we start Bible and Breakfast. Shane taught Bible the whole week except for Wednesday when he had an early morning meeting. He reads them their Bible story while the kids eat breakfast and then helps Ally with her Bible worksheet. While they are in Bible I finish up preparing for the day.
Most of Ally's work sheets have been review from Kindergarten. In Math we are reviewing addition and before and after numbers. Ally does really well in reading and surprises me each day. All in all it has been a great week of learning together. Friday we rescued a turtle from the road and now I hear how we need a pet turtle about 10 times a day.

We are looking forward to next week as we go on a field trip with a Homeschool group.
